The owner of a luxury Cape Town holiday villa has won a court order shutting down nearby ziplines after her wealthy clients complained about the noise, says a TimesLIVE report. Cape Town Ziplines' operation at Constantia Nek will host its last clients next Sunday under a Western Cape High Court order. The seven ziplines have been operating without planning permission at Silvermist Mountain Lodge since November 2014.

SA Forest Adventures boss Clinton Lerm said he would comply with the interdict, but hoped to be up and running again for the summer season. Lorna King lets neighbouring Mbali Lodge for an average of R4 400 a night in which she extols its ‘peaceful environment’ and ‘serenity’, but she told Judge Owen Rogers that clients had found the opposite. A planning application for the ziplines was made in June. King told the court that she and several other Silvermist owners would object on the grounds of noise.
