Magashule's son faces fraud charges
Ace Magashule’s oldest son, Tshepiso (38), faces charges of VAT fraud to the value of R436 882.
According to a Volksblad report, Tshepiso Magashule, his construction company, Motheko Projects, and his accountant, Makhosi Johannes Tshabalala, all face charges in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court.
The charge sheet claims Tshepiso, in his personal capacity as well as sole director of Motheko Projects, submitted irregular VAT returns for five periods between 2020 and 2021.
Defence lawyers asked the court for a postponement to allow them to make representations to the NPA.
Magistrate Tami Cacela postponed the matter to next month.
