From allegations of sexual advances to personal threats, blackmail, backstabbing, irregular appointments and paying for security services on already vandalised assets, the troubled state-owned Prasa is at the centre of yet another storm.

The allegations include a case against a top official who allegedly sent explicit photographs to a subordinate and requested the same from the woman.

The woman allegedly used the correspondence and the photographs to escape a disciplinary process while facing corruption charges. 

City Press has also seen an email which was sent to the board chairperson Leonard Ramatlakane.

In the email, acting chief legal insurance and compliance officer Thato Tsautse recorded a call in which former acting group CEO David Mphelo allegedly told her that he could be placed on suspension. 

City Press earlier this month reported how Prasa had lost track of its buildings and had to appoint a law firm to assist it in finding some of them.

The agency owns a total of 1 394 properties, both commercial and residential.

The ailing state-owned passenger rail agency also lost millions of rands due to the illegal invasion of several properties throughout the country and the alleged unlawful leasing of buildings by some of its employees for their own benefit.
