Alon Meyerov

Alon has over a decade of experience in dispute resolution and substantial experience in the construction and engineering sector, including both back end and front end experience. He has advised numerous international and domestic corporations on various construction disputes. Alon has acted for many large international and domestic clients in the construction industry, including international employers, contractors, engineers, architects and insurers.  His experience includes litigating on the various standard form construction contracts including the JBCC, NEC, FIDIC (various books) and GCC. Alon’s construction experience covers all aspects of construction insurance including providing advice on CAR policies and PI policies, to both contractors and insurers on policy coverage.  Alon also specialises in construction guarantees and has acted for both insurers and contractors in providing advice on all aspects of construction guarantees, including the wording of the guarantees, advice on compliance with the terms of the guarantees and litigation and recoveries pursuant to payment under the guarantees. Alon’s practice focuses on all areas of alternative dispute resolution including domestic and international arbitration, mediation and adjudication. He has been involved in many arbitrations utilising amongst others, the ICC, UNCITRAL, ASA and AFSA Rules. Alon has represented clients in various jurisdictions including Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, United Kingdom and Australia.  In 2017 Alon was named by Legal 500 as a prominent figure in construction disputes.
