Anthony O'Carroll

Anthony heads our corporate and commercial practice; he has a wealth of international experience and is admitted to practice in England and Wales, and South Africa. He started his career at Edward Nathan & Friedland in Johannesburg in 2000 before relocating to London, working first at SJ Berwin and then at Baker & McKenzie until 2007. He then worked as Head of Legal and Group Company Secretary at an international manufacturing group headquartered in London and listed on the London Stock Exchange. Anthony moved back to South Africa with his family in 2013 and he continues to service clients across the globe, including clients based in South Africa, the United Kingdom, mainland Europe and North America. He focusses on supporting his clients’ commercial operations as well as servicing their corporate and head office needs; he is often used by clients as an outsourced general counsel. He guides foreign and local companies seeking advice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and expansions.
