City Serobe focuses on commercial law, with emphasis on project finance, public private partnerships and corporate governance. He was one of the first black conveyancers to be admitted in Johannesburg. He has been a member of several presidential commissions and was an acting judge of the Witwatersrand Division of the High Court. City has a special interest in serving the community and is actively involved in the affairs of the Black Lawyers Association. He made a great contribution towards the development of the legal fraternity in the underdeveloped areas of South Africa. Representative experience: Advising clients on public private partnership concession agreements, financing of P3 projects, water projects and electricity projects. Advising clients on compliance with King III as well as the new Companies Act. Advising an international financing house on project finance loan agreements in the amount of ZAR2bn and another client on loan agreements of ZAR200m. City has a special interest in serving the community and is actively involved in the affairs of the Black Lawyers Association. He made a great contribution towards the development of the legal fraternity in the underdeveloped areas of South Africa.
