David Michael Britz

David is a second year article clerk having commenced his articles with Thomson Wilks in 2015 under Stephen Thomson. David completed his B Comm. LLB degrees at the University of Johannesburg in 2013. In 2014 he completed his LLM in Commercial Law at the same institution, focusing on banking and corporate finance law. His dissertation focused on documentary credits with particular reference to anti-dissipation interdicts and attachment orders and the effects thereon. David is currently in the commercial and litigation department where he has gained experience in commercial and general civil litigation, in both the Magistrate’s, Regional and High Courts, arbitrations and commercial agreements. His interests lie in banking law, corporate law, commercial law and international trade law.
