Eduard Derek Wille

Derek obtained a bursary from the Department of Justice to complete his B.A. LLB Degree at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg Campus. Derek worked as a District Court Prosecutor and a Regional Court Prosecutor in Pietermaritzburg and was promoted to the ranks of the Assistant Senior Public Prosecutor prior to his departure in order to complete his articles of clerkship. Derek was admitted as an attorney in 1989 and is experienced in most areas of the law and has represented and continues to represent many high profile clients. Derek was appointed to the Court Committee of the Cape Law Society in 2005 and is currently a serving member of the Law Society Court Committee. Derek was appointed as an Acting Judge of the High Court of South Africa (Cape of Good Hope Provincial Division) for two terms and for a number of Appeal Cases on an ad hoc basis. Derek has written one judgment that has been reported in the South African Law Reports. Derek has represented the Southern African PGA and the Southern African PGA Tour Sunshine Tour”) and has presented seminars to club professionals in the South African provinces. Derek specializes in High Court civil litigation.
