Edunne Patz

Edunne has a natural affinity for technology and innovation, which has steered his career path.  After receiving his LLB from Wits University in 1999, he immediately took on the role as co-founder and Technical Director of a successful Internet Application Development company in Johannesburg. He was not only involved in the design and development of numerous enterprise-level Internet applications, but also in assisting with and advising the company’s clients (including a number of blue chip firms) on various IT-related matters, ranging from platform selection, integration oversight and best practices implementation, to tender drafting and due diligence enquiries. This unique background and prior commercial experience as an IT vendor equips Edunne in his current practice of IT law at Harty Rushmere. He also enjoys the rare distinction of being one of the only technology lawyers who is also a Macromedia (now Adobe) Certified Developer. Edunne joined Harty Rushmere as a final-year candidate attorney in January 2006 and was admitted in early 2007. He was appointed a partner at the firm in 2011.
