Elsie Mokoena

Elsie has over 10 years of experience as an admitted attorney. Elsie served articles of clerkship at Ayoob Kaka Attorneys from 2002 to 2004 after which she went on to work as an associate and senior associate. She thereafter joined the City of Joburg Property Company as a legal advisor before joining the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality’s core Legal and Compliance department as a senior legal advisor. Elsie has acquired extensive experience in commercial and property (land and housing) litigation, contracts, administrative law, constitutional law, procurement, construction disputes and local government law. She also has a right of appearance in the high Court. Over the years, Elsie has been involved in the drafting of various high profile agreements and litigation. Elsie is currently finalizing her Master’s degree in Property Law.
