Elzanne specialises in administrative law, public interest law and local government/municipal litigation. She joined the firm in 2002 as a candidate attorney after graduating with BA and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. She was admitted as an attorney and a notary public in 2004 and as a conveyancer in 2007. Elzanne served on the Tygerberg Attorneys Association for five years. She currently serves on the Cape Law Society Magistrates Court Committee. In addition, she has continued to serve as a Commissioner of the Small Claims Court since 2010. Elzanne has played an instrumental role in many high profile Constitutional Court cases where groundbreaking constitutional issues were addressed (read more in our Notable Cases section). Elzanne works as a lecturer to candidate attorneys for Magistrate Court Practice on behalf of Legal Education and Development. Outside of the firm, Elzanne is a married mother of three, who loves to spend time with her family and friends.
