Gwen Mathebula focuses on mining law. Representative experience: Completion and lodgement of all statutory mining applications in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, including mining and prospecting right applications, etc. Expediting outstanding applications at the Department of Mineral Resources. Monitoring and ensuring compliance on behalf of mining companies. Drafting and reviewing Social and Labour Plans. Assisting with requests for access to records in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2002. Assisting with internal appeal processes in terms of section 96 of the MPRDA. Drafting of appeals. Upliftment of notices issued in terms of section 93 of the MPRDA.
