Hugo Van Heerden

Hugo van Heerden completed his BA LLB with the University of Stellenbosch in 2000 and he was admitted as an attorney in 2003. He completed his LLM in 2005 with the University of South Africa. Since his admission, he practiced as a litigation attorney in numerous commercial matters and disputes for various clients, including commercial banks, local and multi-national companies. Hugo specialises in commercial litigation with a particular focus on insolvency law, liquidations, business rescue and related matters. He also completed an Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue Practice. He is a director of both Hayes Inc and Themis Commercial Legal Advisors (Pty) Ltd.
