Liesel Greyvenstein, who obtained her law (BComm LLB HDip Tax) degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in the early 90s, is passionate about property and people. A well-known and popular legal advisor within Port Elizabeth’s real estate sector, Liesel is not only an attorney but also a conveyancer, notary and tax specialist. Accordingly, when she isn’t consulting, she’s likely to be liaising with home buyers, estate agents, bond originators and the banks. After completing her articles at Greyvensteins in 1997, Liesel was offered permanent employment at the prestigious firm. Twelve years later, she was appointed a director and shareholder of the company, a personal and career highlight. Explaining her commitment to the company, she says she trusts her partners implicitly and they work exceptionally well as a team. “I know it can never be as good anywhere else,” she says, with her warm smile. She has also won numerous awards over the years, including a coveted Nedbank Property Professional Young Lion Award, which recognises new generation thinking and ideas within the real estate sector. A member of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa (IEASA), the South African Law Society and various business-orientated and social clubs, this high-energy lady thrives on interacting with people who share her passion for the law. Motivated by success, which she defines as satisfying her clients’ needs, she is also driven by the pleasure of giving back to the community, hence her involvement with Reach for a Dream, Vistarus and her church. Regarding the future, her goals include inspiring and taking inspiration from her fellow directors and ensuring that the illustrious firm continues on its upward growth path.
