Matthew de Wet

Matthew is a Practicing Attorney and Founding Partner at DWH Attorneys. After completing a BCOM (Economics and Law) and subsequently an LLB at UCT, in 2005 and 2007 respectively, Matthew joined audit firm Mazars and spent three years offering specialised corporate and individual tax advice. Matthew left Mazars in 2011 to commence his legal articles of clerkship at Dunster and Associates where he spent four years. Matthew was admitted as an attorney in 2012. Matthew left Dunster and Associates in 2016 to start DWH Attorneys. While Matthew continued to offer specialist tax advice at Dunster, he focused primarily on corporate and commercial matters. Matthew has four years experience in drafting commercial agreements such as shareholders agreements, unique MOI’s, service level agreements (across many service industries), licence agreements, distribution agreements, warehousing and logics agreements etcetera. Matthew’s commercial experience, together with his experience in corporate tax, combine well to ensure that Matthew is able to address his clients’ commercial needs holistically.
