Nicholas deals mainly with High Court litigation, with a special interest in company, administrative and constitutional law. Some of Nicholas’s achievements and experience include: Working on many high profile transactions while working in Guernsey 2007 – 2010, including advising the UK bank Northern Rock regarding its nationalisation, advising large investment funds such as Dexion Absolute and EQT on regulatory matters and acting for major banks, such as Deutsche Bank, Barclays and Wachovia on large quantum transactions in excess of million. Ranked 62nd out of 500 competitors from leading law schools globally at the world finals of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington DC, USA, in 2002 (represented South Africa). Represented the University of the Witwatersrand at the All Africa Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Accra Ghana in 1999 – the team came second.
