Nicky Ross

Nicky holds a B.Proc degree and a Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg (formerly Rand Afrikaans University) and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa on 1 April 1999. Nicky has been in continuous practice ever since. Nicky is also admitted as a non-practising solicitor in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Wales. Nicky has been a partner and director of AL Mostert & Company Inc. During her practice as an attorney, she has gained substantial experience in various commercial matters, commercial litigation, administration of deceased estates, sequestrations, liquidations, matrimonial law, labour law and general litigation. Over the past 15 years however the firm has specialized in pension fund work and Nicky has gained substantial knowledge and expertise in this field in particular in relation to the commercial litigation side of recovering assets for the distressed funds. For approximately the past ten years Nicky has been intricately involved in litigation pertaining to the financial services industry and in particular that relating to pension funds and curatorships. Nicky has been the attorney of record in various litigation matters pertaining to the Saccawu National Provident Fund, Corporate Money Managers (Pty) Limited, the Sable Industries Pension Fund, the Cadac Pension Fund and the Powerpack Pension Fund, all under curatorship.
