Osborne Mahlagashane Segolo Molatudi

Osborne Molatudi focuses on employment and labour law and assists major employers with all aspects of employment issues. He acts for corporate clients and state-owned entities in matters relating to unfair dismissal disputes, work stoppages, strikes and trade union disputes, urgent interdicts, restructuring, section 197 sales of business/take-over transactions with employment law implications, and general arbitrations involving employment law disputes.  Osborne regularly publishes articles on various legal issues and offers commentary on employment law issues on radio and television. Representative experience: Acted for Translux and Autopax, previous subsidiaries of Transnet, now part of PRASA, in various disputes involving employees and recognised trade unions at the time. Acted for a mining client in a number of workplace issues between management and NUMSA, being the majority trade union. Acted and represented an international logistic company in disputes involving trade union members and management. Acted for SANBS in a widely publicised employment equity dispute with Solidarity trade union. Represented SANBS in most of its employment related disputes, from internal disputes, Labour and High Court matters to post-retirement medical aid disputes. Successfully defended Medupi Power Station Joint Venture (MPSJV) in a Labour Court review application launched by NUMSA. Successfully defended a retail division of Massmart, in a sexual harassment dismissal challenged by a former store manager at the CCMA. Chairing internal enquiries for companies where there is no conflict, and conducting training on industrial/human resources aspects.
