Russell Clyde Clyde Macdonald

Russell was admitted in March 1987. Before joining WB Inc in 2004, he practised as a Senior Partner in the firm of Laing Frank and MacDonald, which he co-founded. He is involved in all areas of civil litigation and arbitration with a particular emphasis on commercial, insurance, procurement and construction law on behalf of national and international clients. Russell has handled some significant contractual damages claims, including some of the largest to come before this country's courts. As part of a mentorship programme he has mentored numerous young lawyers with difficult indemnity insurance matters. He has also trained numerous “PDI” lawyers many of whom have moved onto high position. Russell serves on the company's Executive and Remuneration Committee. He has an avid interest in jazz music. He is married to Felicity and they have two daughters.
