Vaughan Henry Ulyate

Vaughan grew up in Saldanha on the West Coast and matriculated in 1980, whereafter he did his national service in the Air Force. He obtained his B.Comm and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in 1985 and 1988 respectively. He articled and was later appointed as a professional assistant at the prestigious firm of Bisset Boehmke McBlain Inc, who are also the attorneys for the Cape Law Society. The experience gained as a candidate attorney and professional assistant at the said firm gave him a good grounding in all facets of legal practice, especially ethics and hard work, and he learned the importance of giving excellent service to clients. In 1990 he was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer. He was also admitted as a notary in 2006. Vaughan took the bold step of starting his own firm in the heart of Cape Town in April 1994, where the practice grew, until we moved to Welgemoed in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town in October 2006, and recently to our present location in the Tyger Waterfront, Bellville in September 2011. Vaughan is married with two children, and enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, waterskiing and hiking. He is also a keen cyclist and triathlete, having finished the Argus Cycle Tour in the time of 2 hours and 50 minutes in 2007.
