William Thomas Du Toit

William Du Toit is a consultant at BBP Law. Overall property law experience gained since 1983, servicing the needs of a diversity of clients throughout South Africa, which includes providing property-related advice to one of the region’s largest petroleum companies.  During this 24-year relationship he has secured the rights to the development of automotive service stations around the country.  He has developed specialist expertise in the petroleum industry and has for the last ten years drafted commercial contracts ranging from property matters, procurement matters and documenting joint facility agreements, such as bunkering agreements in the three largest ports of South Africa.  He is also an accredited mediator. Experience Confidential clients: Registering approximately 700 personal and praedial servitudes securing trade restrictions, rights of way, pipelines and air space encroachments. Confidential client: Effecting the transfer of 108 properties on which a refinery is constructed with a network of servitudes securing the pipelines leading to and from the refinery. Confidential clients: Creative use of servitudes to secure views from properties, height restrictions, air space encroachments and trading advantages. Confidential clients: Drafting bunkering agreements for joint ventures in South African ports for the major oil companies.
