André Pepler

After obtaining the degrees B. Comm (in 1986) and LLB (in 1988) at the university of Port Elizabeth, Andre was admitted as an attorney in 1991. He joined Minde Schapiro & Smith (“Mindes”) in that same year where he was a partner / director for 22 years until August 2016. Andre focuses on company law, the law of contract, insolvency law and general commercial litigation, in both the High Court and the Lower Courts. Andre has become a specialist in the law of landlord and tenant in regard to commercial, industrial and retail properties and provides legal advice and assistance to two listed companies and a number of other companies and groups in this regard. Andre is a past chairman of the Tygerberg Attorneys Association and currently still serves on the Taxation and High Court Committees of the Cape Law Society. He contributes to the community by serving as a small claims commission in the small claims court on a pro bono basis.
