Gerhardus Daniel Painter

He is an Executive Committee Member of the Pretoria Attorneys Association, and Chairman of the High Court sub-committee of the Association; He serves on the High Court Committee of the Law Society of South Africa and on the Court Practice Committee and the Legal Aid Board Committee of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces; He was a lecturer in Magistrate's Court Civil Procedure at the Practical Legal Training Law School for five years and is a senior examiner for the Attorneys Admission examination. He served on the Magistrate's Commission for three years.

• B. Proc (RAU, now University of Johannesburg); LLB (U.P.) • Articles served at MacRobert, De Villiers & Hitge • Admitted as an Attorney: 16 February 1982 • Joined Friedland Hart & Partners on 17 February 1982, and became a partner in March 1985.
